Ineos Grenadier. Open pre-reservations for the jeep that was to be assembled in Portugal

Anonim

Originally planned to be produced (partly) in Portugal (the Covid-19 pandemic led INEOS Automotive to give up the factory it was going to build in Estarreja), the Ineos Grenadier saw its price for the UK revealed, and may even be pre-booked.

But let's go by parts. Scheduled for launch in the UK market in July 2022, the Grenadier will be available in the UK starting at a price close to 48,000 pounds (about 56,000 euros).

As for the distribution network, INEOS Automotive plans to establish a total of 23 locations to sell the Grenadier before its launch. Later, the all terrain that will be produced at the factory in Hambach, France will be marketed in Europe, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and North America.

And assistance?

Committed to “making the purchase process as convenient and «painless» as possible”, focusing equally on the digital experience as on sales in a physical space, INEOS Automotive also showed that it is already preparing an after-sales assistance network.

Thus, in the United Kingdom, INEOS Automotive has teamed up with Bosch to create a service plan, planning to open a total of 14 spaces dedicated solely to the maintenance of the Grenadier. In the rest of the world, it will be possible to maintain the jeep “pure and hard” in more than 10,000 Bosch workshops spread across 150 countries.

But there is more. Since the Grenadier will have six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines from BMW, INEOS Automotive is exploring the possibility that, outside the UK, technicians from the Bavarian brand could carry out maintenance on the Grenadier.

Speaking of mechanics, INEOS Automotive remains exclusively faithful to combustion, with Gary Pearson, the brand's sales and marketing director, saying: “although electrical technology has evolved immensely, electrical mechanics would not be compatible with weight, the type of use and level of functionality of the Ineos Grenadier”.
