If you haven't heard Koenigsegg Jesko yet, this is your chance

Unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show (where we could see it live), the Koenigsegg Jesko should go into production at the end of this year and for that reason the Swedish brand is finalizing the tests for its hypersports.

Proving it is a video released by Christian Von Koenigsegg's brand in which we can not only hear his 5.0 V8 twin turbo working but also see Jesko accelerating on track.

Although short, the video allows us to confirm that, at least in the sound chapter, Jesko will do justice to the expectations that have been created around him.

For now, the uncloaked images we have of Jesko are all of the prototype unveiled in Geneva.

The 180º flat crankshaft contributes greatly to this, which not only allows the engine to ramp up to 8500 rpm, but also makes it emit a very characteristic sound. If you don't believe it, we'll leave you the video for you to confirm:

Equipped with a twin turbo V8 with 5.0 l capacity, the Jesko sees its engine deliver two different power levels depending on the “food” it consumes.

With regular gasoline, the power is at 1280 hp. If the Jesko is consuming E85 (mixes 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline), the power goes up to 1600 hp at 7800 rpm (the limiter is at 8500 rpm) and 1500 Nm of maximum torque at 5100 rpm.

Transmitting all this power to the rear wheels is an innovative gearbox (in-house design), with nine speeds and… seven clutches(!).

With a base price of 2.5 million euros, the Koenigsegg Jesko will be limited in production to just 125 units, all of which have already been sold.
