The Formula 1 season is just around the corner and on February 24th, Red Bull Racing and driver Max Verstappen took to the track for the first time, with the Austrian team taking the opportunity to reveal their car for 2021, the RB16B.

To mark this “season start”, CarNext.com, a partner of Max Verstappen for two years now, decided to reveal a video with the making of the helmet that the driver from the Netherlands will wear in the new season.

As Max Verstappen reminds us in the short video, this will be the third season in which he will have a mostly white helmet, with this one justifying the choice with a universal maxim: “Why change something when it feels good?”.

Probably the safest helmets in the world, Formula 1 helmets have to comply with a strict and (extensive) specification, they are not enough to absorb impacts, they have to be resistant to all the elements.

Otherwise let's see. The exterior is made of carbon fiber and the interior is composed of several layers: kevlar, expanded polystyrene and polypropylene foam. All so that it is able to withstand temperatures above 800°C and handle objects at over 500 km/h without breaking.
