Flying Spur Mulliner. This is the most luxurious Bentley ever

Anonim

In the absence of the traditional salons, the Monterey Car Week that is already taking place is being the stage for several revelations and one of them is the luxurious Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner , the latest model to receive the renowned “Mulliner treatment”.

Touted as the most expensive production Bentley ever, the Flying Spur Mulliner is the third element in the “Bentley Mulliner Collections” portfolio and marks the debut of electrified powertrains on models bearing the Mulliner seal.

This “feat” was achieved by resorting to plug-in hybrid mechanics, which was recently adopted by the Flying Spur. It is a 2.9 l petrol V6 accompanied by an electric motor, and offers a maximum combined power of 544 hp and a maximum combined torque of 750 Nm. The 14.1 kWh battery makes it possible to travel a little over 40 km in electric mode.

The remaining range of engines for the new Flying Spur Mulliner is made up of the twin-turbo V8 with 4.0 l, 550 hp and 770 Nm and also the colossal W12 with 6.0 l of capacity, two turbochargers, 635 hp and 900 Nm.

What's new?

Compared to the other Flying Spurs, this superlative version starts by being distinguished by the exclusive 22" wheels (which have a system that always keeps the brand symbol in the right position), the "diamond" pattern on the grille, the mirrors with gray covers or by the “Flying B” that appears automatically over the hood.

Inside there are more new things. We have (even more) luxurious rugs, embroidered leather seats, 3D door finishes, electric picnic tables and eight custom three color combinations are available. Finally, in the center of the dashboard is a Mulliner clock and, of course, the Bentley rotary display.

For now, Bentley has yet to reveal the prices of the new Flying Spur Mulliner. However, taking into account the level of luxury with which it presents itself, we can expect a value considerably higher than that requested by the other Flying Spurs.
