Discover Richard Hammond's new classics restoration workshop

Over the summer we reported that Richard Hammond, whom we met from Top Gear and The Grand Tour, had sold some classics from his collection to fund his new… classic restoration business.

Among the classics sold were examples such as a Bentley S2, Porsche 911 T and a Lotus Esprit Sport 350.

Now the “The Smallest Cog” has officially opened and Hammond introduces us to his new space through a video published by Drive Tribe. Although the official opening has already taken place, you can see that there is still work to be completed, but the workshop is already operational.

The new space allows for up to seven vehicles to be restored at the same time, and has several service stations that range from sheet metal work to recover bodywork to a greenhouse for painting.

The well-known presenter is visibly tired, with Hammond repeating over and over how long the days have been (including a 21-hour shoot), but so is the excitement at seeing his classics restoration workshop open, performing one of the your dreams.

“The Smallest Cog” will also be a regular presence in its new television program “Richard Hammond’s Workshop”, which deals, precisely, with the restoration of classic cars.
