The most anticipated drag race of the year? Well, it's not the first we've seen the Tesla Model S Performance it's the Porsche Taycan Turbo S tussle in a start-up event, but this one, by Carwow, should not provoke the same levels of controversy.
Both are the fastest versions of their ranges, however, due to the “miracle” of remote upgrades (and beyond), just like the wine, these cars get better with age.
The Tesla Model S was launched in 2012 and since then its performance has not stopped growing, either with software updates — capable of optimizing the entire management of the kinematic chain and extracting the best possible performance from it — or, more recently, with new hardware .
The unit used in the test is the latest Raven. This means that it has a more powerful front engine (from the Model 3), as it now has an adaptive suspension, having already received the “Cheetah Stance” update for even more efficient starts.
Result? This Tesla Model S Performance has 825 horsepower and 1300 Nm of torque ! Numbers that make its generous 2241 kg seem like a “children's game”.

If so far the Tesla Model S has been the king of drag races, making it the most muscular muscle cars and the most honest super super sportsmen, the answer may have come late, but it couldn't be more formidable.
Fighting fire with fire is what we could say about the Porsche Taycan Turbo S. But the numbers put it at a disadvantage: 761 hp and 1050 Nm , and still charges a few dozen more pounds on the scale, 2295 kg.
Well, as far as Porsche is concerned, we shouldn't consider it defeated. Since its inception, the German constructor has been adept at extracting the full potential of any kinematic chain and effectively transferring it to the asphalt. Will it be the same for your first 100% electric car?
