Do you still remember the Team Fordzilla P1, the Ford virtual prototype — created in partnership with the gaming community — which gained a full-scale version at the end of 2020? Well, now it will be transformed into an evolved gaming simulator so that it can be driven on a virtual track.

The announcement was made during this year's edition of Gamescom, the world's largest annual video game event, which for the second year in a row is fully digital. Team Fordzilla (Ford's esports team) also took the opportunity to launch the second series of Project P1 (which was the basis for the creation of this virtual competition vehicle), in which the gaming community will help shape the next Ford Supervan . But there we go.

Returning to Team Fordzilla P1, it has a new decoration inspired by the world of video games and is equipped with an HP Z4 Intel Zeon W2295 3.00 Ghz workstation with 18 cores and an Nvidia RTX A6000 48 GB graphics card.

During races, the lighting of the P1 will come to life and will be synchronized with the braking moments during the game, creating an unprecedented experience and closer to the spectators. The auditory stimulation has not been forgotten either and will be guaranteed through a sound system that promises to elevate the experience of this racing simulator to totally new levels.

Fans will choose new Ford Supervan

As with this competition vehicle, in which the gamer community was invited to vote on the different design elements throughout the entire process, this will happen in the second series of Project P1 as well, with the difference that this time the protagonist is the Ford Supervan.

Ford has a long tradition of building race-inspired Supervans based on its Transit models. The first appeared 50 years ago, in 1971. Now the goal is to create the new Supervan Vision Concept and show what a high-performance version of the modern-day Transit could be like.
