Think you can beat Tesla's AutoPilot? find out with this game

Anonim

Loved by many and hated by many, Tesla's AutoPilot system is, without a doubt, one of the most famous driving aids in the world — albeit not always for the best reasons.

Well, maybe for that reason, the company Select Car Leasing decided to create a game in which we can find out if our reaction time is inferior to that of Tesla's AutoPilot emergency braking system.

How it works?

Quite simply. This game puts you behind the wheel of a Tesla (it seems to us to be the Model 3) and your mission is as soon as you see an obstacle in the middle of the road by pressing a key, mouse or screen (if you're playing on your smartphone), to stop the car early, avoiding the collision.

Then, the game itself calculates whether you reacted faster or slower than Tesla's AutoPilot emergency braking system would have reacted.

However, speaking of AutoPilot reaction time, as you are well aware, Tesla has not revealed any official data in relation to this matter, so this is an assumption of the reaction time pictured here. To calculate this, the game's creators selected 10 viral videos in which the game takes effect, slowed them down as much as possible and calculated what the system's reaction time will be approximately.

Obviously this is not the most scientific method, however, this game also doesn't claim to be the most reliable of the simulators that exist.

If you want to try the game and put your reaction time to the test, you can do so on this link.
