THE Tesla's tequila appeared and… already sold out. It's the norm when Tesla puts a non-automotive product, quite “out of the box”, for sale. Still remember the flamethrowers to help fund The Boring Company?
Well, Tesla tequila promises the same “firepower” as the flamethrower going down your throat, but now you won't know until a new batch is available. Even with a price of 250 dollars (about 212 euros) for each one of the peculiar bottles (shaped like a lightning bolt), they were sold out in no time.
Why tequila from Tesla? The idea took shape in a joke on April 1, two and a half years ago, when Elon Musk published a tweet in the midst of Model 3's “production hell.” We can see the description “Elon Musk was found unconscious against a Model 3, surrounded of “Teslaquilla” bottles, with the dry tear marks still visible on her cheeks.”
Elon was found passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by “Teslaquilla” bottles, the tracks of dried tears still visible on his cheeks.
This is not a forward-looking statement, because, obviously, what’s the point?
