At first glance the Daihatsu Copen and the Nissan GT-R have little in common other than nationality and the fact that they both use a gasoline engine.
However, tuning company Liberty Walk seems to have a different opinion. As you can see from the copy we're talking about today, Liberty Walk believes that the Copen even makes a good look-alike to the Japanese sports car.
Originally seen in 2017, this kit that makes the Daihatsu Copen a “mini GT-R” has a number of details that really make the small roadster's look stand out.
What changes?
For starters, we have a front grille inspired by the Nissan GT-R (we even have the supercar logo there).

In addition, the air intakes and daytime running lights don't hide the inspiration from the Nissan model. The front splitter gives the Copen a more aggressive and sporty look.
Interestingly, despite being the originals of the small model, the Copen's headlamps match well with the grille “à la GT-R”.
In addition to these transformations we have wider wheel arches, five-spoke wheels and a very different camber from the one usually used by Daihatsu's convertible (it almost looks like a stance model).
Finally, at the rear, in addition to a huge wing and logos saying “GT-R”, the Copen now has a diffuser, a new bumper and even four exhaust outlets — just like yours. inspirational muse also known as Godzilla.
In the mechanical chapter, no freedoms like those taken abroad; the Daihatsu Copen remains a pure and tough Kei Car, in other words, it uses a small turbocharged 658 cm3 three-cylinder, capable of delivering a blazing 64 hp.
In any case, in the aesthetics chapter, it's hard not to notice this Daihatsu, especially when we take into account the specific decoration of this unit, with the colors (and the name) of Marlboro reminding the McLaren that once dominated on the Formula 1 circuits.
