It's limited to 50 units and each should be around a million euros — 990 thousand euros, to be precise — with plenty of room for customization. THE Nissan GT-R 50 by Italdesign is the result of the collaboration between Nissan and Italdesign, motivated by the celebration of the 50th anniversary of both the GT-R and Italdesign.
What started out as just a working prototype gave way to the decision to produce a small series of 50 units, with deliveries starting later this year or early next. For now, the dynamic tests are finalized for the purposes of final approval.
Based on the Nissan GT-R Nismo, the GT-R 50 differs a lot from this one in its design. It's still possible to “see” the GT-R in the GT-R 50 by Italdesign in overall proportions and contours — though 54mm shorter — but many have been redesigned elements.
The most distinctive part of the renewed design is found at the rear. The GT-R's trademark circular optics remain, almost appearing to be separate from the bodywork, but it is the specific rear wing and the way it is integrated into the bodywork that deserves all the attention.
It's not just for style
In addition to the unique design, the VR38DETT , the GT-R's 3.8 l twin turbo V6 deserved particular attention. Built by hand, in the GT-R 50 by Italdesign the power and torque values rise significantly to 720 hp and 780 Nm, more 120 hp and 130 Nm than the drifting Nismo.

To cope with the fatter numbers, the GT-R 50 by Italdesign comes with a reinforced six-speed sequential gearbox; the braking system has also been upgraded, courtesy of Brembo; suspension has been revised by Bilstein, now having continuously adjustable damping; and the tires became Michelin Pilot Super Sport with generous measures of 255/35 R21 at the front and 285/30 R21 at the rear.
There are still unowned units
Customization will be one of the strengths of this model — just see the images of the number one production GT-R 50 by Italdesign, with a two-tone bodywork, combining black with a teal-blue (teal), a somewhat unusual tone for a vehicle of such high performance.
According to the official statement from Italdesign, the order book for the GT-R worth million euros is already quite composed, but there are still some units available. Those who have already ordered yours are now in the configuration and customization phase, where you can even choose a decoration evocative of the GT-Rs that shone in the competition.
