Aston Martin Vantage Legacy Collection. How to Celebrate a Victorious Legacy

Anonim

Between 2009 and 2018, talking about Aston Martin in motor sport was almost always synonymous with talking about Vantage. Whether the V8 Vantage GTE, the V12 Vantage GT3 or the Vantage GT4, the truth is that this model has brought multiple successes to the British brand and the Aston Martin Vantage Legacy Collection intends to celebrate them.

In total, the Aston Martin Vantage Legacy Collection comprises three cars — an Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE, a V12 Vantage GT3 and a Vantage GT4 — and these can only be sold together.

The three examples were produced at the premises of Aston Martin Racing and are new chassis, painted and decorated exactly like the models that between 2009 and 2018 often dominated the events in which they raced.

The three members of the collection

The oldest model in this collection is the Aston Martin Vantage GT4. The first competition model to be created based on the British brand's VH platform, this was launched in 2009 and a total of 107 units were produced (some of them still running), and the one that integrates this collection is an additional one, the 108th and last unit of model.

As for the V12 Vantage GT3, it appeared in 2012 and was in production until 2017, having built 46 units. Replaced in 2019 by the new Vantage in the competition leads, the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 won the British GT title in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2018.

Finally, the V8 Vantage GTE debuted in 2012 and ran until 2018. In that time period it won its category twice at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and became the most successful car in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Originally only six units were produced, the one that integrates the Aston Martin Vantage Legacy Collection is also an additional unit, the seventh, having therefore received chassis number… 007.

For now, Aston Martin has not released the price of the Aston Martin Vantage Legacy Collection, however, taking into account that the three will only be sold together and the three are true competition cars, the price will certainly be high — only for collectors.
