Automotive history is replete with models that, starting from a modest base, have managed to become iconic. From the Opel Calibra (based on the Vectra A) to the Volkswagen Corrado (derived from the A2 platform used by the Golf Mk2 and the SEAT Toledo) there are plenty of examples, being one of the most iconic the little Honda CR-X.

Originally launched in 1983 as Honda Ballade Sports CR-X, this used the basis of the contemporary Civic and became one of the most desired models of the Japanese brand.

The result was a production that lasted until 1991, a legion of fans who still remember him with nostalgia and a “heavy heritage” for his direct successor, the Honda CR-X Del Sol.

For all that we mentioned, the artist Rain Prisk threw "hands on" and using his undeniable talents decided to imagine what a modern version of the Honda CR-X would be like.

Aesthetically it's not hard to see that Rain Prisk was inspired by the CR-Z. Still, the wider rear window (and CR-X-inspired) and the front with a minimalist grille help to disguise the “origins” of this 21st century Honda CR-X.
