The arrival of a new year has brought another update to the Mazda CX-5 . Aesthetically unchanged, it is inside the Japanese SUV that we find the main innovations.
In this way, the CX-5 2021 saw the HMI (Human Machine Interface or better known as infotainment system) system upgraded, receiving a 10.25” screen and revised controls.
In addition, this renewed system now integrates a more comprehensive range of connected services that are managed from the MyMazda app. These allow, among other things, to remotely lock the doors, remotely pre-program navigation destinations, obtain vehicle status reports, contact the dealer or even schedule inspections.
What else brings new?
In the mechanical field, the CX-5 saw the accelerator pedal operation optimized (to improve engine response) and now offered the 184hp 2.2 Skyactiv-D diesel engine also with front wheel drive.
Finally, still in the field of novelties, Mazda introduced in the CX-5 range the special edition Homura (which in Japanese means fire/flame). Compared to the other elements of the range, the Mazda CX-5 Homura stands out for its exclusive exterior color, 19” alloy wheels and interiors with exclusive details such as red stitching.
