Launched in 2016 and with 20 thousand units sold, the Bentley Bentayga is a serious case of success within the British brand.

However, to ensure that its first SUV continues to accumulate sales, Bentley decided to renew it, with the main innovations appearing in the aesthetic and technological chapters.

Starting with the aesthetics, at the front we have a new grille (larger), new headlights with LED Matrix technology and a new bumper.

At the rear, where the biggest changes come, we have headlamps inspired by those used by the Continental GT, a new tailgate without the license plate (now for the bumper) and even oval tailpipes.

And inside?

Once inside the renovated Bentley Bentayga we find a new center console with new ventilation outlets and a 10.9” screen with a new infotainment system with satellite navigation maps, online search and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without wires.

Also inside, there are new seats and an increase of up to 100 mm in legroom for passengers in the rear seats, although Bentley does not explain how it gained this extra space.

Still thinking of the passengers in the rear seats, the Bentayga has larger tablets (similar to those introduced in the Flying Spur), USB-C ports and even an induction smartphone charger.

The 10.9'' screen appears associated with a new infotainment system.

And the engines?

As far as mechanics are concerned, the only novelty is the disappearance of the W12 engine in the European market.

Therefore, initially the renewed Bentley Bentayga will be available with a 4.0 l, biturbo, V8 with 550 hp and 770 Nm associated with an automatic transmission with eight speeds and all-wheel drive.

Later it will also be available in a plug-in hybrid variant that combines an electric motor with a maximum power of 94 kW (128 hp) and 400 Nm of torque to a supercharged 3.0 l V6, with 340 hp and 450 Nm.

For now, the prices and date of arrival on the market of the renovated Bentley Bentayga are still unknown.
