Introduced about four months ago, the updated Volvo XC60 has just arrived in Portugal.
The XC60 has been the Swedish brand's best-selling model since 2009, saw the retouched look and received, among other things, a new Android infotainment system with applications and services from Google.
Aesthetically, only the new front grille and the redesigned front bumper stand out, although new wheel designs and new body colors were also presented.
The visual changes inside the cabin are limited to new finishes and materials, although it is precisely inside this XC60 that the biggest news is hidden.
Embedded Google System
We are talking about the new Android infotainment system, developed in partnership with Google, which has integrated features and applications from the technology company.
Debuted on the XC40 Recharge, this system offers access to Google apps and services, such as Google Assistant, Google Maps or other features via Google Play, all without the need for a smartphone.
Enhanced security
Also in the safety chapter, this update is noted, with the ADAS system (advanced driving assistant system) — responsible for features such as the detection of other vehicles, automatic braking and the Pilot Assist driving support system — receiving important improvements.
Only electrified engines
As far as the engines are concerned, the offer comprises the mild-hybrid Diesel B4 (197 hp) and B5 (235 hp) proposals, to which the Recharge versions are added, which identify the plug-in hybrid proposals of the range: T6 AWD (340 hp), T8 AWD (390 hp) and Polestar Engineered (405 hp).Versions with non-electrified engines were discontinued in this generation.
Prices
The Volvo XC60 is available on the Portuguese market with four equipment levels (Momentum, Inscription, R-Design and Polestar Engineered) and has prices starting at 59 817 euros.
