Hyundai Anticipates Hydrogen-Powered High-Performance Model

Hyundai has just announced the broadcast of the Hydrogen Wave Global Forum for next September 7th, a virtual conference in which the South Korean company will present its strategy for hydrogen powered vehicles.

According to Hyundai, this event will showcase the brand's plans for “a future vision of a sustainable hydrogen society”. “Future state-of-the-art fuel cell electric vehicles — as well as other innovative solutions — will be unveiled during the forum,” it reads.

And among the surprises reserved for that day is a high-performance model powered by hydrogen, whose South Korean brand even anticipated through a teaser, albeit under a dense camouflage that leaves little or nothing “on display”.

The engine that will serve as the basis for this model remains to be confirmed: will we have a solution similar to the Toyota Corolla with a hydrogen engine, which uses a version of the GR Yaris engine and is modified to use hydrogen, or a proposal with a battery of fuel, like the Hyundai Nexo?

In addition to these news, Hyundai will also take advantage of this virtual forum to present the HTWO sub-brand, whose mission is the research and development of hydrogen technology, whether for use in transport or for other practical everyday applications.

But while the next September 7th conference doesn't arrive, you can always watch (or review!) Guilherme Costa's video test of the Hyundai Nexo, a model that has shown time and time again that hydrogen may very well have a word. to say in the future of the automobile:
