Cold Start. To be the "bad guy" in a police chase? It is already possible

Anonim

British company Trackdays offers a range of driving experiences, from the classic trackday to driving a supercar on a circuit, but the most intriguing of all must be being involved in a police chase. Well… not a real one, obviously.

The Police Pursuit Driving Experience pack puts you in the role of a criminal — with multiple charges, including car theft — who has to evade the police, at the controls of a Mazda MX-5 or a Porsche Boxster (price varies).

And to make the illusion of being in any Hollywood movie complete, the police car couldn't be more American than a Dodge Charger V8 Police Interceptor.

Police chase

The police chase takes place at Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire, UK, and the program includes initial training in circuit trajectories and acceleration and braking techniques.

Then we go to the circuit, where we first follow an instructor for 10 minutes and then get involved in a police chase (15 minutes) where we are the “bad guy”.

And as Dan Jones, the Trackdays manager, reminds us, "It's not just about speed." “(…) it's also about making the right decisions, having excellent driving skills and super-fast reactions.”
