Bugatti has already finished production of the first eight Chiron Super Sport 300+ and made a point of marking the moment with a family photo that gathered 28 million euros and 12,800 hp of power.
Two years have passed since the prototype that was the basis of this model became the first road car to surpass the 300 mph barrier, reaching 304,773 mph or 490.484 km/h.
Since then Bugatti has been developing and fine-tuning the production version, which is finally ready to be delivered to the first customers. In all, 30 copies will be built, each with a base price of 3.5 million euros.
Christophe Piochon, production and logistics director at BugattiWe are very excited to deliver the first eight units from this record holder to our customers so they can experience a pure sense of speed behind the wheel.
W16, tetra-turbo and 1600 hp
Like the prototype, the production version of the Chiron Super Sport 300+ also makes use of the latest evolution of the 8.0-litre W16 tetra-turbo, which produces 1600 hp.
For the record-setting example, these road versions stand out for not having a safety roll cage and for having greater ground clearance and a passenger seat.
Everything else is identical, even the color scheme, which features orange stripes (jet orange) that pay homage to the Veyron Super Sport WR (2010).
Also the elongated bodywork, with a view to better aerodynamic performance, was replicated in road versions, which are electronically limited “only” to 442 km/h, which leaves them far from the more than 490 km/h achieved by the record-breaking car.
