The jury has already selected the models that remain in the race to succeed the Toyota Corolla as the winner of Car of the Year in Portugal 2021.
After an extended period of tests, during a pandemic period and always respecting all safety and hygiene rules, the Jury, composed of 20 journalists representing some of the most important Portuguese Media, chose the finalists who pass to the final round the election of the oldest and most prestigious prize awarded to an automobile product in our country.
The 7 finalists for the Direct Car Insurance of the Year/Crystal Wheel Trophy 2021 are as follows (in alphabetical order):
- Citron C4
- Cupra Formentor
- Hyundai Tucson
- Seat Leon
- Škoda Octavia
- Toyota Yaris
- Volkswagen ID.3
The winning model will be distinguished with the title of winner of the 38th edition of the Direct Insurance Car of the Year/Trophy Crystal Wheel 2021, and the respective representative or importer will receive the Crystal Wheel Trophy.
At the same time, the best automobile product (version) will be awarded in different segments of the national market. These awards will include six classes: City, Family, Sports/Entertainment, Compact SUV, Electric and Hybrid.
Technology and Innovation Award
For this edition, the organization once again selected five innovative and technologically advanced devices that can directly benefit the driving and the driver, which will be appreciated and later voted on by the judges, simultaneously with the final vote.
