Cold Start. If the GMA T.50 sounds like this at 5000 rpm, how will it sound at 12,100 rpm?

Anonim

It's not yet that we've heard the fantastic 4.0 atmospheric V12 by Cosworth from the test bench GMA T.50 scream at 11,500 rpm — where it reaches its maximum power of 663 hp — or, dare, hit the limiter at 12,100 rpm.

But in the latest video from Gordon Murray Automotive we see and hear the new British supercar again, even though it can only “pull” down to 5000 rpm. When the XP2 test prototype first hit the road, no more than 3000 rpm was allowed.

But if it sounds so good at 5000 rpm on the street, we can only imagine what it will sound like at 12,100 rpm.

GMA T.50

The latest video on the development of the GMA T.50 takes us back to Dunsfold aerodrome (the runway of Top Gear) once again. In it we see that the XP2 test prototype, already shown on a previous occasion, is now accompanied by a second XP3 test prototype.

Gordon Murray didn't miss the opportunity to sit in the middle of his creation and take some “exploratory” laps of the circuit, now accompanied, on the second prototype, by senior test and development driver Steve Hayes.
