Also available are the Twin Engine AWD T6 and T8 plug-in hybrid variants, delivering 340 and 400 hp respectively, a T8 Twin Engine is also planned, but with a "little hand" from Polestar . This Polestar Engineered variant advertises 415 hp of power (engine management is specific), and specific dynamic setup: wheels, braking system, suspension are unique to this model.
Made in Charleston
The new Volvo S60 will be produced at Volvo's new plant in Charleston, which the Swedish brand has just opened in the US. Which, from 2021, will also take over the production of the new XC90 generation, not only for the American market, but also for the rest of the world.
Synonymous with an investment in American soil in the order of 1.1 billion dollars (about 950 million euros), the factory in Charleston has planned a production capacity of around 150 thousand units per year.
