THE Skoda is committed to conquering the Chinese market and will launch a “coupé” version of Kodiaq . Made in China, the Kodiaq GT will be the “flagship” of the Czech brand in that country.
Seen from the front it looks the same as the Kodiaq, the only differences being in the slightly smaller grille and in the different design of the front diffuser. At the interior the only change was the front seats with a "sport" design.
The differences arise when we start watching it from the front doors to the back. THE Kodiaq GT received one steeper roof , a new tailgate , a small rear spoiler , new bumpers and new rear lights, all this to achieve the “coupé” look.
Why don't you come to Europe?
As for engines, the Kodiaq GT will resort to 2.0 l TSI (associated with DSG box seven-speed) with two power levels: 186 hp and front wheel drive or 220 hp and all-wheel drive. Skoda's new SUV measures 4.63 m in length (63 mm less than the Kodiaq), 1.88 m in width (a 1 mm increase over its base SUV) and 1.64 m in height (27 mm less than “brother”).

THE Kodiaq GT not coming to Europe simply because the brand's European factories are already at full capacity and The Skoda has nowhere to build it on the old continent. The possibility of importing it directly from China to the European market was also ruled out. So, the Skoda it will, for the time being, focus its efforts solely on the Chinese market.
