Volvo V60 sees its range grow in the national market with the arrival of the PHEV version, or plug-in hybrid. THE Volvo V60 T8 Plug in Hybrid it is yet another model to be included in the Swedish brand's electrification strategy, which expects to reach the milestone of one million electrified units sold by 2025.
The new T8 assumes itself as the pinnacle of the V60, by combining an internal combustion engine with an electric one. Based on the SPA, the same platform that equips the 90 Series and the XC60, we find in the V60 T8 Plug in Hybrid the same solution as the other plug-in hybrid proposals of the Swedish brand.
The combustion engine is the familiar 2.0 l in-line four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, which works in conjunction with an electric motor, with both units delivering maximum combined power in the V60. 392 hp and a maximum torque of 640Nm, transmitted to all four wheels — 18″ wheels — through an automatic eight-speed transmission.
The 88 hp electric motor is powered by a battery pack with a capacity of 10.4 kWh, which allows a total of 45 km of all-electric autonomy.
Equipment and Price
The new Volvo V60 T8 Plug in Hybrid will have a complete list of equipment which will have, among others, automatic air conditioning; CleanZone; panoramic glass roof; 12.3″ digital instrument panel; leather steering wheel and upholstery; four-way electric lumbar support; chrome roof bars; MID LED headlamps; Audio High Performance; and Volvo On Call.
Among the driving assistance equipment, the V60 T8 Plug in Hybrid is equipped with a speed limiter and cruise control; Lane Keeping Aid assistant; and parking sensors.
The price of the new Volvo V60 T8 Plug in Hybrid starts at 59 958 euros (Inscription equipment level). For companies, taking into account the associated tax benefits, the price is 49,999 euros.
