Mercedes-AMG C63 S Station. Muscle Car for the family!

Anonim

Spacious and comfortable, family vans are not usually associated with the idea of performance. However, there are exceptions to this “rule” and the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Station that Diogo Teixeira tested in this video is proof of that.

Born in Affalterbach, the C63 S Station presents itself as an authentic Muscle Car for the family, featuring a V8 Biturbo with 510 hp and 700 Nm (there aren't six in-line or mild-hybrid systems like the E 53 4Matic+ Coupe here) passed to the rear wheels.

As Diogo tells us throughout the video, the C63 S Station has a total of six driving modes ranging from a mode designed for slippery floors through to “Individual”, “Comfort”, “Sport”, “Sport+ ” and, as you would expect in an AMG, the “Race” mode.

As for the driving experience, the best thing is to watch the video. However, we can tell you that appearances can be deceiving and that the huge amount of parameters that we can configure make taking advantage of the 510 hp a task accessible to several types of drivers.

Equipment, equipment everywhere

With a luggage compartment with 460 liters of capacity, plenty of space and a good level of technology (although it still doesn't have the MBUX infotainment system), the only thing that can keep this truck away from the garage of the most petrolhead of families is… the price.

Top speed of 280 km/h, 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1s and consumption of 12.5 l/100 km (16 l/100 km when “pulled” by it), these are some of the numbers of C63S Station.

Among the “treats” available to the C63 S Station were the 19” AMG wheels (2250 euros), the beautiful matte gray paintwork (2650 euros) or the AMG Performance seats (which deserved much praise and which cost 2400 euros). ).
