With Guilherme Costa, co-founder and director of Razão Automóvel, as one of its directors, the World Car Awards — the most relevant awards in the automotive industry worldwide — are already “on the road” with the unveiling of the preliminary list of candidates for the World Car Awards 2022 , this list can be updated until December 1st.
Over the next few months, more than 100 journalists from the world's leading specialist publications will distinguish those who stand out in the various categories.
The “path” to the announcement of the winners starts now and has three more “stops”: the seventh edition of the “L.A. Test Drives” next November, the “World Car Finals” in March next year when the finalists of each category are announced and, of course, the announcement of the winners, which will take place at the New York International Auto Show on April 13th of 2022.

Compared to previous editions, the 2022 edition of the World Car Awards presents itself with a great novelty: the “World Electric Vehicle of the Year” category. Premiered this year, this category aims to “recognise, support and celebrate the global transition to electric cars”.
