Held last weekend, the Subiefest 2020 — an event where North American Subaru fans gather annually — was, unsurprisingly, the stage where Subaru's new record was achieved, with the Japanese brand inscribing its name in the famous Guinness Book of Records.

But what is Subaru's new record? Simple, in this event the a stop was held with 1751 Subaru models , the largest ever made and which leaves far behind its predecessor in which 549 cars were gathered in 2015.

In addition to the record-breaking parade, Subiefest 2020 also featured a preview of the new generation of the Subaru BRZ which, as we've already told you, will even exist, with the usual Toyota “twin”.

More than just cars

In addition to having achieved a Guinness record, in this edition of Subiefest, Subaru decided to join a solidarity cause. Thus, instead of having sold tickets, it opted to ask each participant to make a donation to the institution “Feeding America”, with these being delivered to two food banks.

In total, donations ensured 241,800 meals, and Subaru will raise that number to 500,000 meals. This campaign is part of a partnership between the Japanese brand and "Feeding America" that will in total ensure 50 million meals to people who were affected by Covid-19.
