Hyundai Staria revealed. This MPV looks like a spaceship and has room for eleven

Anonim

Discreet, sober and even “anonymous” are some of the adjectives used to describe most MPV. However, none of them can apply to the new Hyundai Staria.

Anticipated about a week ago by a set of teasers, the new South Korean MPV is different not only from its predecessors but from all competitors that we can remember, due to its… futuristic look.

At the front, the Staria's full-width LED daytime light bar stands out, which is placed over the two main headlamps, positioned right in the corners of the also distinguished grille. On the side, the huge glazed surface and the very low waistline stand out, while on the rear, the more conventional section, we have vertical headlights already provided for in the teaser.

Finally, in the top version, the Premium, the Hyundai Staria also gets a grille with a specific pattern, Full LED headlamps, chrome finishes and specific 18” wheels.

Space for a football team

Inside, the absence of the instrument panel was not confirmed, with this appearing on a dedicated screen behind the steering wheel.

In the center of the dashboard we have a 10.25” screen and touch sensitive buttons, just like in the new Tucson. On the Staria Premium there is also LED ambient light (with 64 colors to choose from), on the seven-seater versions it is possible to recline the seats in the second row and on the nine-seaters the seats in the second row rotate 180º.

Finally, in addition to the many storage spaces, cup holders and USB ports, the Hyundai Staria also offers the possibility of having 11 (!) seats, enough to take all the holders of a football team.

For now, Hyundai has not revealed which engines will equip the Staria. Other unknowns are the date of arrival of the South Korean MPV on the market and whether it will be sold in Europe.
