He ran the marathon in a competition suit and entered the Guinness

In the last edition of the London marathon, the software engineer of the Aston Martin Formula 1 team, George Crawford, did the unthinkable and ran the 42.1 km of the race in a complete competition suit.

This includes everything from sneakers to gloves to fire-retardant clothing and even the helmet. The suit was not a replica but the suit worn by Lance Stroll, with the helmet worn by the Canadian pilot in the races held in Belgium, Holland and Italy.

George Crawford finished the marathon in 3 hours and 58 minutes, time that guaranteed him a Guinness World Record.

It may sound crazy, but the truth is that the software engineer embraced this “challenge” for a good cause: to help raise funds for the charity “Mind” that works in the field of mental health.

On the page where he launched the fundraiser, George Crawford says: “In this difficult time, people living with mental health problems face extra challenges — extra challenges that now, more than ever, the kind and loving people of 'Mind' are helping to cope.”
