Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992). More details visible, but the mega-wing steals all attention

There is no camouflage capable of disguising the future Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) . Not when in its rear there is a rear wing of epic proportions that could have been a competition 911.

When we showed the first spy photos of the sporting future a few months ago, naturally, the mega-wing stood out, with the rest of the bodywork being effectively camouflaged in key areas.

But now, the 911 GT3 RS, caught in the vicinity of the Nürburgring circuit, lets see more details because it has lost some of that camouflage.

It is at the front that we can see in more detail how the air vents will be on the front hood as well as on the front mudguards.

It's also impossible not to notice the massive front carbon-ceramic brake discs, filling virtually all the space behind the front 20″ wheels.

At the rear, the “gooseneck” mega-wing continues to focus all the attention. The wing supports are still covered with some camouflage, but you can also see that the air intake in front of the rear wheel is still covered.

Under the wing, in the “engine room”, we'll find the expected six-cylinder atmospheric boxer, just like the 911 GT3, which should produce more power than its 510 hp. Rumors are currently being generous about the final power of the 911 GT3 RS, with values between 540hp and 580hp.

Taking into account the demanding emission standards to be met and the fact that it is an atmospheric engine, the increase in power should be, we suspect, more modest, as in the 991 generation, where the GT3 and GT3 RS were separated by 20 hp .

If we're not sure about the flat-six's final power, we're sure that the transmission of its power to the rear wheels will be done exclusively by PDK, Porsche's dual-clutch gearbox.

When arrives?

Doubts also remain about the unveiling of the new model. Will we see him as early as next September during the Munich Motor Show or will Porsche wait until 2022 to unveil the new 911 GT3 RS?
