Overwhelming. It is the expression that best defines the participation of the Jaguar I-Pace at the World Car Awards (WCA) 2019.
The British SUV got the better of the Audi e-tron and the Volvo S60/V60, the two other models that competed with the Jaguar I-Pace for one of the most coveted awards in the automotive industry: World Car of the Year.
In this way, the Jaguar I-Pace succeeds another SUV, the Volvo XC60, which was named World Car of the Year in 2018.
Victory on all fronts
The Jaguar I-Pace not only won the World Car of the Year 2019 award, it also outscored the competition in the WCA's 'World Green Car' and 'World Car Design of the Year' categories.
An even more expressive victory if we take into account that the Jaguar I-Pace won in all categories where it participated. Victories to which we must also add the victory in the International Car of the Year (COTY).

In the «World Urban Car» category, victory smiled to the Suzuki Jimny, while in the «World Performance Car» category the victory was for the McLaren 720s. In the «World Luxury Car» category won the Audi A7 Sportback.

For the second consecutive year, Razão Automóvel was part of the WCA judging panel, through Guilherme Costa, the only national representative in the WCA.
The WCA panel of judges is composed of experts from more than 80 countries, representing some of the most important titles in the world automobile press.
