Almost a year and a half after the launch of the 992 generation of the 911, Porsche has just introduced the GTS models, which even have prices for the Portuguese market.
The first time Porsche released a GTS version of the 911 was 12 years ago. Now, a new generation of this version of the popular sports car is launched, which presents itself with a distinct look, with more power and an even more refined dynamics.
From an aesthetic point of view, the GTS versions stand out from the rest for having several darkened exterior details, including the front spoiler lip, the central grip of the wheels, the engine cover and the GTS designation on the rear and doors.
All GTS models come with the Sport Design package, with specific finishes for the bumpers and side skirts, as well as darkened headlamp and daytime running lights rims.
Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus LED headlamps are standard equipment, and the rear lamps are exclusive to this version.
Inside, you can see the GT sports steering wheel, the Sport Chrono Package with mode selector, the Porsche Track Precision app, the tire temperature display and the Plus sports seats, which feature four-way electrical adjustment.
The seat centres, steering wheel rim, door handles and armrests, storage compartment lid and gearshift lever are all covered in microfiber and help to underline a stylish and dynamic ambience.
With the GTS interior package, the decorative stitching is now available in Crimson Red or Crayon, while the seat belts, the GTS logo on the seat headrests, the rev counter and the Sport Chrono stopwatch take on the same color . In addition to all this, with this pack the dashboard and door trims are made of carbon fiber.

For the first time on the 911 GTS it is possible to opt for the lightweight Design Package, which, as the name suggests, allows for a “diet” of up to 25 kg, thanks to the use of integral bacquets in carbon fiber reinforced with plastic, lighter glass for the side windows and rear window and a lighter battery.
In this optional pack, new aerodynamic elements and a new directional rear axle are added, while the rear seats are removed, for even greater weight savings.
New screen, now with Android Auto
In the technological chapter, emphasis is placed on the new generation of Porsche Communication Management, which gained new functions and has simplified operation. The voice assistant has been improved and recognizes natural speech and can be activated via the voice command “Hey Porsche”. In addition, the integration of the multimedia system with the smartphone can now be done through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Power rose 30 hp
Powering the 911 GTS is a turbo boxer engine with six cylinders and 3.0 liters of capacity that produces 480hp and 570Nm, 30hp and 20Nm more than its predecessor.
With a PDK dual-clutch gearbox, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupé needs just 3.3s to complete the usual 0 to 100 km/h acceleration exercise, 0.3s less than the old 911 GTS. However, a manual gearbox — with a rather short stroke — is available for all 911 GTS models.
The standard sports exhaust system was tuned specifically for this version and promises a more striking and emotional sound note.
Improved ground connections
The suspension is the same as found on the 911 Turbo, albeit slightly modified. Both the Coupé and Cabriolet versions of the 911 GTS feature Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard and feature a 10 mm lower chassis. The braking system is also improved, with the 911 GTS fitted with the same brakes as the 911 Turbo. Also “stolen” from the 911 Turbo were the 20” (front) and 21” (rear) wheels, which are finished in black and have a central grip.
