The off-road events of the Free Escape Club are about to return and, as usual, the first off-road event of the (very) full schedule of activities of the Guarda club will be the Tripe Raid and Other Flavors.
This year in the tenth edition, the tour organized by Escape Livre takes place between days March 22nd and 24th you will walk along the trails of the Guarda district, combining off-road emotions with the best flavors of the district.
Open to all 4×4 brands and models, the tour organized by Clube Escape Livre still has vacancies, but not many — those interested can apply online, at the Clube Escape Livre website. This year the official vehicle for the tour will be the Dacia Duster 4×4.
A tour full of activities
In this 10th edition, the Raid do Bucho e Outros Sabores will take place between Guarda and the border village of Freineda (where tripe is the protagonist in the traditional festival) with new trails and visits being promised.

The tour begins at Hotel Vanguarda, with the participants heading, still in the late afternoon of March 22 (Friday), to the village of Ramela, in the municipality of Guarda, where they will be able to taste the Vale da Teixeira Olive Oil and visit the local press.
On the 23rd, the all-terrain trails will lead the caravan to the Historical Village of Castelo Mendo and the village of Castelo Bom. At the end of Saturday morning, head to S. Pedro do Rio Seco, where the event will take place. lunch and contest of Bucho Raiano.
In the afternoon, the caravan heads along dirt roads to Almeida, where the GRHMA (Group for the Historical Reconstitution of the Municipality of Almeida), will provide a fun and historic afternoon. Finally, at the end of the day, there is an off-road return to Guarda, where the dinner will take place with the delivery of SPAL trophies.
On the last day, the caravan will travel through old smuggling trails, going to the village of Freineda, where a ceremony commemorating the peninsular wars will take place. Towards the end of the tour, the already usual Festa do Bucho is scheduled, with several taverns with typical products, handicrafts, music and entertainment.
