At a time when the German sports car brand is progressively taking the path of electric mobility, Porsche surprised when it opened its doors at the Geneva Motor Show: the Porsche Mission and Cross Tourism , a 100% electric Cross-Utility Vehicle (CUV) prototype, with a range of 400 kilometers and chargeable in about 15 minutes.
With a length of 4.95 m, all-wheel drive and an electrical architecture of 800 volts, this Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo, evolution of the Mission E study, also stands out for having plenty of space to accommodate sports equipment, surfboards or even the Porsche e-bike.
In addition to coming with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), like the CUV that it is, the air suspension is adaptive, ensuring more than 50 mm of ground clearance when necessary, and comes equipped with four-wheel steering.
The interior accommodates four occupants in individual seats, with accessibility benefiting from a height of 1.42 m — 12 cm more than the Mission E saloon. .
Touchscreens with eye tracking are new
Inside, the instrument panel consists of three circular virtual dials divided into areas for Porsche Connect, performance, driving, energy and Sport Chrono.

The system is able to recognize, at any time, which of the displays the driver is looking at (eye tracking), causing it to automatically move to the foreground, while the others pass to the background. Information can also be controlled via smart-touch controls, placed on the steering wheel.
The front passenger benefits from an extension of this same screen, on which they can operate various applications through eye tracking or tactile technology. They are complemented by small touch screens to control windows, seats and even climate control.
Up to 400 km of autonomy… rechargeable in 15 minutes
In terms of propulsion, reference is made to the two permanently active synchronous motors (PSM), with a combined power of more than 440 kW (600 hp), which take the Mission E Cross Turismo up to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds , and up to 200 km/h in less than 12 seconds.

The Li-ion battery pack guarantees, according to the NEDC cycle, up to 400 kilometers on a single charge. But the highlight is that the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo doesn't need more than 15 minutes to recharge the battery.
