THE Opel Grandland X Hybrid arrives in Portugal, adding a second hybrid plug-in option to the range, more accessible than the Hybrid4 we already knew.
Regarding the Hybrid4, the Hybrid dispenses with four-wheel drive — losing, in the process, an electric motor —, as it uses a less powerful version of the 1.6 Turbo, with 180 hp instead of 200 hp.
The 1.6 Turbo of 180 hp together with the electric motor of 110 hp, translate into a combined power of 225 hp (the Hybrid4 has 300 hp) and a maximum torque of 360 Nm. The transmission is in charge of an automatic transmission of eight speeds, just like the Hybrid4, delivering 8.9s from 0-100 km/h and a top speed of 225 km/h.
With its more powerful brother, the Grandland X Hybrid also shares a 13.2 kWh battery, promising a electric autonomy of up to 57 km . Consumption and CO2 emissions (WLTP) are, respectively, in the combined cycle, 1.5-1.4 l/100 km and 34-31 g/km.

Charging the battery — located under the rear seat — is handled by the 3.7 kW on-board charger or, optionally, a more powerful 7.4 kW of power — charging time is less than two hours with this option.
