At the 2020 Beijing Salon, there seems to be a bit of everything. Even models that, despite being new, seem to be from bygone times. It is the case of the Songsan Summer , an MPV that does not hide a clear collage to the historic Volkswagen T1, better known around here as “Pão de Forma”.
The proximity to the iconic German van is more evident when Songsan Summer is seen from the front, where we can see the same graphics as “Pão de Forma”. From the circular headlamps to the front triangular section (in a different colour) where a huge symbol delimited by a circle resides, everything seems to have been taken from “chemical paper”.
The rear is also very close to the T1 and have you noticed the wheels or bumpers?
Songsan Summer seems to have been designed for leisure activities, as can be seen from the flexible roof. However, the interior, clad in light leather, seems to be more suitable for executive or luxurious purposes.

To motivate this MPV (with up to eight seats) we have a plug-in hybrid engine and is expected to arrive in the Chinese market in the second half of 2021.
