Remember Officine Fioravanti's Testarossa? It is ready and exceeds 300 km/h

At first glance the Ferrari Testarossa that we've shown you in this article may even look exactly like the model that since the 1980s has enchanted petrolheads all over the world. However, believe us when we tell you that this is not a Testarossa like the others.

Fruit of the work of the Swiss company Officine Fioravanti, this Testarossa is the latest example of a “fashion” that has more and more followers: the restomod. Thus, the iconic lines of the transalpine model were joined by the latest technologies and a level of performance considerably superior to that offered by the original model.

But let's start with the aesthetic. In this field, Officine Fioravanti chose to keep almost everything the same, stating that “there is no reason to teach a conductor another lesson”. Thus, the only novelties on the outside are in the field of aerodynamics, which, thanks to the total fairing of the lower part of the chassis, has benefited greatly.

Bringing the interior into the 21st century

If there's nothing new abroad, the same doesn't happen inside. Completely covered in Italian leather, it has seen plastic controls give way to aluminum equivalents and has welcomed a new sound system that not only has an Apple CarPlay but also features a “mandatory” USB-C plug.

Communications with the “outside” are ensured through a vintage mobile phone (typically from the 1980s) that connects to Testarossa via Bluetooth.

More powerful and faster

As in the interior, also in the field of mechanics, the “concern” was to bring the Testarossa into the 21st century, offering it benefits and dynamic behavior in line with the best that modern supersports are capable of.

Despite keeping the V12 at 180º with 4.9 l of capacity, the Testarossa saw power rise from the original 390 hp to a much more interesting 517 hp achieved at 9000 rpm. To achieve this increase, Officine Fioravanti improved several components of the V12 and even offered it a titanium exhaust.

All of this, combined with a saving of 130 kg, has considerably improved the performance of the Ferrari Testarossa, leading it to reach the 323 km/h maximum speed that the Swiss company had established as a “goal” when it launched this restomod.

Ground connections haven't been forgotten

To ensure that this Ferrari Testarossa wasn't just for “walking straight”, Officine Fioravanti equipped it with electronically controlled shock absorbers from Öhlins, a system capable of raising the front by 70 mm (very useful for entering and leaving garages) and adjustable stabilizer bars.

In addition to all this, the Testarossa has an improved braking system from Brembo, ABS, traction control and new alloy wheels (17” at the front and 18” at the rear) that appear “sidewalks” with a Michelin GT3.

Now that Officine Fioravanti has revealed “its” Ferrari Testarossa (and logo in the white color with which the model was famous in the “Miami Vice” series), it remains to be seen how much the Swiss company has evaluated this improved icon.
