Despite being a "monster" at work, even the Ford F-150 has its load limits. For this reason, the Ford pick-up has the “Onboard Scales” system that estimates the weight of the load placed in the box.
As the F-150 is loaded the estimated weight is shown in the infotainment system, in the FordPass app and… on the tail lights.
Well, as we charge the Ford F-150 these will light up (like the cell phone battery bar) and tell us how much of the pick-up's charging capacity is being used. When four bars are lit, the maximum charge has been reached and if we exceed this limit the top light flashes to let us know.
In addition, the Ford-F-150 also has the “Smart Hitch” system which is able not only to calculate the weight of the load transported in a trailer and even gives us advice about the ideal weight distribution and if the weight is too high or low.
