Cold Start. Ford F-150 now saves 290,000 kg of paper per year. Like?

Sold essentially in North America at the rate of one million units a year (more or less), the Ford F-150 it is second only to Toyota Corolla as the best-selling motor vehicle on the planet. No wonder, therefore, that when Ford decides to change some aspect of its pick-up, it ends up having a substantial impact.

That's what happened with the latest update that the huge pick-up received, where the Ford F-150 2021 dispensed with the paper user manual, now being integrated into the SYNC4 infotainment system.

It may not be the first vehicle to do without a paper manual, but when multiplied by the million F-150s sold a year, it means Ford will save 290,000 kg of paper a year, according to its calculations.

Ford F-150

It's the equivalent of weighing 122 F-150 (on average), or a tower of paper manuals with a height of just over 5.4 km(!) — yes, over 5400 m.
