After having presented the Grandland X Hybrid4 , a 300 hp all-wheel-drive model, Opel decided to unveil a more “quiet” plug-in hybrid version of its SUV, the Grandland X Hybrid (without “4”).
Unlike the Grandland X Hybrid4 (which is the most powerful of the Opels on sale), the “simple” Hybrid features front-wheel drive, combining an electric motor with 110 hp (81 kW) with the 1.6 Turbo with 180 hp to achieve a combined power of 224 hp and a torque of 360 Nm.
Powering the electric motor we find the same 13.2 kWh battery that is used by the Grandland X Hybrid4. The transmission was now in charge of an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
