If you're one of those people who thinks that Lego's are just simple plastic blocks for the little ones to play with, then this CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) box, created precisely with Lego pieces, might make you rethink that vision.

After we have spoken here several times about Lego Technic kits, which are as complex as they are fun and even educational, they are not just for creating or recreating models of cars or other vehicles.

This time someone created in Lego a fully functional CVT box, entirely made using Lego pieces.

Created by the Sariel’s Lego Workshop YouTube channel, this gearbox works exactly like those found in many cars — these days mainly Japanese hybrid models — and once mounted on a rolling “chassis” it's even able to move it.
