Although in the video Matt Farah reaches the 339.57 km/h doesn't mean the Jetta has broken its own record… at least officially. For a record in the Bonneville salt plains to be official it must be achieved at an event and must obtain a speed certification given by the organization, so it is not clear whether the speed achieved by youtuber will replace the previous one in the record books .
