In recent days, the famous Nürburgring circuit is almost as “attended” as some beaches in the Algarve. After having seen prototypes of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer or the Range Rover Sport SVR there in tests, now it was time for the renewed Mercedes-Benz GLE be caught there.
Launched about three years ago, the German SUV is now getting ready to receive the “traditional” middle-age restyling. As you would expect, in the case of a restyling, the camouflage only appears in the areas that will be changed: the front and the rear.
At the front, you can see new bumpers, a new grille and even more slender headlamps, with a new luminous signature provided by the redesigned daytime running lights.
At the rear, and taking into account the location of the camouflage, you can only expect changes to the headlights, keeping everything else unchanged, from the bumpers to the tailgate. Also abroad, it is likely that Mercedes-Benz will offer the renewed GLE redesigned wheels.
Technological boost on the way
As for the interior, the main news there should appear in the technological field, with the GLE receiving the most current version of the MBUX system. Furthermore, many more changes are not planned on board the GLE, the exception being the possible adoption of a redesigned steering wheel.
Finally, in the mechanics chapter there should be no new developments, with the Mercedes-Benz GLE remaining faithful to the range of engines with which it is currently presented, that is, proposals with gasoline, diesel and plug-in hybrids .
For now, Mercedes-Benz has not yet announced a date for the unveiling of the revised Mercedes-Benz GLE, but considering the little camouflage of the “caught up” prototype, we were not surprised that it was soon.
