Before being destroyed in a crash test this prototype Rimac Nevera was playing in the mud

Anonim

The Rimac Nevera can even be a hypercar, but that doesn't “escape” the crash test programs. For this reason, many of its prototypes (such as the C_Two that we talked about a while ago) and pre-series examples have a wall as their final destination. The copy we are talking about today is no exception.

Built in 2021, this Nevera was mostly used for demonstration events, and was even run by some journalists. He was also responsible for breaking the record for the fastest production car in the quarter mile.

Perhaps because of all this, Mate Rimac did not want it to be destroyed in a crash test without first having the right to a “farewell”. However, the final “trip” of this pre-production Rimac Nevera was anything but normal.

Because instead of using it on any runway or aerodrome, the founder of the Croatian brand and responsible for the future of Bugatti Rimac, decided to take this Nevera off the road.

Nevera walks sideways too

After having started by “attacking” a dirt road with some leaves, Mate Rimac decided to go “play” with Nevera to the place where the future headquarters of Bugatti Rimac is being built.

The hypercar with four electric motors (one per wheel) and a combined power of 1914 hp and 2360 Nm of torque drifted and faced mud as if it were a rally car, all while avoiding obstacles and gaining a boost. “painting of mud” that hardly any Nevera will ever have.

Rimac Nevera

That's what Nevera looked like after walking in the mud.

After all that fun, all that's left is to “throw” the hypercar against an obstacle in a crash test. A mandatory phase in the model's development process, which will be limited to 150 models, equipped with a 120 kWh battery, which will, according to Rimac, allow an autonomy of up to 547 km (WLTP cycle).

The base price of Rimac Nevera is expected to be around 2 million euros.
