We've known it as a prototype since Geneva, but now it's the definitive item, that is, its production version. The EQV is the second electric model from Mercedes-Benz and joins the EQC in the Stuttgart brand's electric offer.

Aesthetically, the EQV does not hide the familiarity with the renewed V-Class, with the main differences between the two models appearing at the front, where the EQV took on an aesthetically inspired solution similar to what we can see in the EQC and also in the design of the 18” wheels. Inside, the gold and blue finishes stand out.

Described by Mercedes-Benz as the first 100% electric premium MPV, the EQV can hold six, seven or even eight people. Also inside the EQV, the MBUX system stands out, associated with a 10” screen.

Bringing the EV to life we find an electric motor from 150 kW (204 hp) and 362 Nm which transmits power to the front wheels through a single reduction ratio. In terms of performance, for now Mercedes-Benz only reveals a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

Powering the electric motor we found a battery with 90 kWh of capacity that appears placed on the floor of the EQV. According to the German brand, using a 110 kW charger it is possible to charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 45 minutes. The values (provisional) of autonomy are around 405 km.

The batteries appear under the floor of the EQV, and for this reason the space on board remains unaltered.

For now, Mercedes-Benz has not revealed neither when the EQV should reach the market nor what its price will be. However, the Stuttgart brand also stated that, from 2020, EQV buyers will be able to recharge it on the Ionity network, which should have around 400 fast charging stations in Europe by 2020 — Portugal is not part of this first phase implementation of the Ionity network.
