Cold Start. And that's it… This Audi S2 Avant has 709 hp

The new Audi RS 6 Avant is (for now) the final chapter in the history of the RS and Audi high-performance vans — the first RS appeared in 1994, the seminal RS 2, developed by Porsche. And to do that, Porsche had to start somewhere and Audi S2 Avant , which appeared a year earlier, was the starting point.

If the RS 2 Avant was “born” from the Audi S2 Avant, it is clearly not lacking in potential, as this example that we bring you brutally demonstrates. Incredibly, it still keeps the 2.2 l in-line five cylinders, but the power “exploded” from 230 hp to over 700 hp — more than triple!

It's a 709 hp monster, something you'd never say watching it from the outside, but it accelerates like it's got the devil in its body.

In this AutoTopNL video, we can see various accelerations between 100 km/h and 200 km/h. It's crazy to see that it can do it in less time than the original S2 did from 0 to 100 km/h: 5.6s against 5.9s, respectively! Respect — and what's with that tachometer?
