Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo lets itself be seen (almost) without camouflage

Anonim

After some time we “caught” the Volkswagen ID. Buzz in tests “dressed” of Transporter, its working version, the ID. Buzz Cargo has now been seen with much less camouflage.

This time already without the “clothes” of its sisters with combustion engine, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo used another camouflage technique common within the Volkswagen Group: to look like a model from a rival brand.

Therefore, Volkswagen tried to get the ID. Buzz Cargo looked as much as possible like a Renault Trafic. However, the watchful eye of Instagram user @red.david thwarted Volkswagen's attempts to keep its tests secret.

In this image the “family air” is very evident, as are the similarities with ID.3 and ID.4.

Despite Volkswagen's attempts and the increasingly scarce camouflage, it's easy to find familiarity with the remaining electric proposals of the German brand, especially on the front. At the rear, the vertical headlights normally used in commercial vehicles do not seem to be part of the plans.

Animating the ID. Buzz Cargo and the passenger version will feature a 204 hp (150 kW) electric motor that will move the rear wheels and allow a top speed of 160 km/h. Powering it will be batteries with a capacity between 48 and 111 kWh that will provide a range of up to 550 km (WLTP cycle).

Also confirmed is the presence of solar panels that will allow it to increase its autonomy by up to 15 km, and the arrival of fully autonomous driving (Level 4) is much anticipated in 2025, which will make the German model the first van of its kind to count. with this technology.
