The Geneva Motor Show promises to be especially busy for DS Automobiles. In addition to having chosen the Swiss show to reveal its new top of the range, the DS 9, the French brand also decided to show the prototype there. DS Aero Sport Lounge.
With the silhouette of a “SUV-Coupé”, five meters long and 23” wheels, the DS Aero Sport Lounge was, according to DS, designed with a strong focus on aerodynamic performance, something that is evident in the design of the DS Aero Sport Lounge .
Still in the visual field, the biggest highlight of the DS Aero Sport Lounge is the front grille. Designed to “channel” the airflow to the sides, it has a screen behind which several sensors appear. Also note the new luminous signature “DS Light Veil” which, according to DS, predicts the future of its design.

Although DS has not revealed images of the interior of the DS Aero Sport Lounge, the French brand has already described it. Therefore, the traditional screens were replaced by two strips covered with satin (the same material used in seats), with all the necessary information projected on the bottom.

Not that there aren't screens inside the Aero Sport Lounge. We have screens that perform the functions of rear view mirrors (and command clusters) on each side of the dashboard, screens for each occupant and the central armrest allows you to control various systems through gestures and uses ultrasound to provide tactile feedback.
Finally, the “Iris” artificial intelligence system that responds to voice controls is also available.
DS Aero Sport Lounge numbers
In mechanical terms, the DS Aero Sport Lounge uses technology proven on the tracks, namely, the solutions adopted by the Formula E team of the French brand, the DS Techeetah, in which the Portuguese driver António Félix da Costa runs.
The result is a 100% electric “SUV-Coupé” that features 680 hp (500 kW) , powered by a battery of 110 kWh of capacity placed on the floor of the platform and offering a autonomy of more than 650 km.
In terms of performance, DS Automobiles announces that the DS Aero Sport Lounge is capable of fulfilling 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8s, a value worthy of a… super sports car.
