Brabus 800. Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupé gained "muscle" and power

Anonim

As they say: “the more the better”. And it was precisely with this line of thought in mind that Brabus “fattened” the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 4MATIC+ Coupé and created the Brabus 800.

To the already impressive 612 hp and 850 Nm of maximum torque that the GLE 63 S Coupé's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine produces as standard, Brabus added another 188 hp and 150 Nm. 800 hp and 1000 Nm.

Thanks to these numbers, and even weighing 2.3 tonnes, the Brabus 800 is able to complete the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4s and reach 280 km/h (electronically limited) of maximum speed.

To achieve this increase in power, the well-known German preparer replaced the two original turbos with even bigger ones, installed a new engine control unit and “equipped” a new exhaust system with carbon fiber nozzles.

More muscle… also in the image

The mechanical muscle that Brabus gave to the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupé is accompanied by an aesthetic and aerodynamic kit that give it an image to match.

Highlights include the addition of carbon fiber elements on the outside, such as the front and rear bumpers, the front grille, the sides and the new, more pronounced rear spoiler.

Fitting the Brabus 800 are also new 23” wheels – tailor-made – (with an option of 24”) and Continental, Pirelli or Yokohama tyres, depending on the customer's preference and the size of the wheels.

And the prices?

Brabus has not yet announced the price of this model, but we can expect it to approach the 299,000 euros that the German preparer “asks” for the Brabus 800, which is based on the “conventional” Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S.
