For the second time since the beginning of the pandemic, the Government decided to extend the validity of expired driving licenses and extend the deadlines for their renewal.
In addition, and as can be seen in a statement issued by the IMT, the deadlines for the replacement of driving licenses, learning licenses and the validity of the theoretical tests of the driving test were also extended.
In these three cases, the deadline was extended until December 31, 2021. As for driving licenses, the deadlines depend on their expiry date.

Starting with the letters that lost their validity between February 1, 2020 and August 31, 2020, and whose term had already been extended by seven months (counted from the end of validity), these had their term extended for another six months ( from the end of the initial extension period) or until July 1, 2021 (whichever date is later).
For letters whose validity ended (or will end) between September 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021, the extension of their validity extends for a period of 10 months, which must be counted from the date on which the validity ended .
